Oak Hill Ranch continues its tradition of offering mare owners superior quality stallions for their breeding programs by importing two proven sires. In an effort to meet the demands for the Olympic stallion Don Schufro’s blood, his direct son Don Caruso was imported. His sire is not the only one with Olympian accolades; Don Caruso’s dam sire, Bolero has three descendents that medaled at the Athens Olympics. To continue with the famous bloodlines, his dam’s dam sire is Wenderkreis who’s son-Werther - was awarded the “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” and sired Hilda Gurney’s Dressage Champion, Will the Great.
Living up to his heritage – Don Caruso sired the 2010 Gold and Silver Medal Dressage Young Horse Champions in Herning, Denmark. He himself was Reserve Champion stallion as a 3 & 4 year old, only to be beaten by his brother, another Don Schufro son.
At his grading in Herning, Denmark in 2003, Don Caruso received 8 for walk, 8 for trot, 9 for cantor and an overall impression score of 9. He was awarded a silver medal.
Don Caruso is approved Danish and German Oldenburg Verband.
