Highlight is a 2004, 16.3H Hanoverian stallion, by His Highness (Hohenstein-Donnerhall) out of a Lauries Crusader dam. Highlight was purchased by Oak Hill Ranch at the 2007 National stallion Keuring in Denmark. Just after importation to the states Highlight attended and successfully completed the 100–Day Stallion performance test at Paxton Farms. He earned a total index of 115.20 with a dressage index of 122.51 and jumping index of 104.70. Finishing 10th overall. Highlight received 9’s on character, willingness to work, and 8’s on his temperament, trot, canter, and his rideablility!

Highlight’s bloodlines are the perfect combination of refinement, power, athleticism and a wonderful temperament. Highlight’s sire, His Highness was the 2002 undisputed Hanoverian Licensing Champ. This Black Stallion then became the winner of his stallion performance test in 2003, receiving a total score of 149.24. His outstanding quality was rewarded with a dressage index of 155.04. His Highness is a versatile sire who has produced successful dressage and jumping offspring. He has sired 17 sons licensed for breeding by the German Hanoverian Verband.

Highlight’s dam’s sire, Lauries Crusader, is one of the most sought after thoroughbred stallions in German warmblood breeding. He has sired 10 sons approved for breeding by the German Hanoverian Verband. Lauries Crusader’s son, Laurentianer, became World Champion of Young Dressage Horses in 2000. Lauries Crusader’s son, Londonderry, became Bundeschampion of four year old riding horses in 1999, and Vice-Bundeschampion of six year old dressage horses in 2001. Lesotho, by Lauries Crusader, is successfully competing in dressage up to the Grand Prix level His Highness was under the training of Klaus Baulkenhol until the untimely passing of this stallion. Klaus called His Highness “the perfect horse…conformation, movement and mind!”

Highlight is approved for breeding by the American Hanoverian Society, Oldenburg Verband, Danish Warmblood, and the International Sport Horse Registry.
