Acknowledged as one of Cantus' best sons, the Holsteiner stallion that has an “Elite” status with the Danish Warmblood Society in Denmark, Willemoes competed at Grand Prix level with Danish International Grand Prix Winner and World Cup competitor Tina Lund. His exceptional progeny include approved sons, premium daughters, international and national level show jumpers and dressage horses with outstanding performance records. Willemoes passes on a lovely type, pretty face, suspension, and consistent movement earning him the title of #1 show jumping sire in Denmark.

Grading Description: Big stallion of extremely good type. Expressive head. Well-set neck. Medium-long shoulder. Well-marked withers. Good topline, though slightly long loin. Muscular croup. Legs correct confirmation, but straight front and angular behind. Well shaped hooves. Good walk and extremely good trot and canter. 9-7-7-7-6-8-8-8
Material Description: An impressive stallion, but with three good gaits. Great capacity in jumping. Material Test made at Vilhelmsborg in 1996.
Foal Description: Sizable and noble foals of good type. Good expression. Pretty head. Well-set and well-shaped neck. Medium-long and slightly forward shoulders. Withers not quite maked. Good topline and well-shaped croup. Correct leg confirmation, some slightly straight in front. Movement extremely good especially in canter. Willemoes has a positive influence on his offspring and refines. Basis: 23 foals.
Other Remarks: Graded at 1. Divided grade in 1997. Received breeders bronze medal at The Stallion Show in 1997. Description from 2nd divided grading 2002: The stallion is B-horse in dressage and A-horse in jumping and is still active in sports. The stallion influences positive jumping potential and influences the offspring with type. Should be used on big framed mares with good topline. The stallion was shown in good condition. Graded until 3rd divided grading 2005. Sire of the Gold medal mare KONG's Whoopsie, the bronze medal mare Kjaersholm's Venessa. The stallion was imported to the US in 2006 by Oak Hill Ranch.
Own Achievement: Willemoes DVE 608 has 169 registered offspring in Danish Warmblood. He has 37 daughters where 52% is graded DH. One daughter has received the gold medal, one the silver medal and one the bronze medal. Three sons have been selected to go through the approvals in Herning, Denmark. All in all, nine offspring have qualified for the DSA finals in the years 2001 through 2004. Seven offspring have participated in the Young Horse Championships and one participated in the World Championships for young horses at Zangersheide, Germany in 2005. Willemoes is A-horse in jumping and B-horse in dressage. Willemoes is the 2008 number one Danish Index stallion for the third consecutive year.
